About Commercelogica
Commercelogica is an independent research platform for operators choosing software to run an e-commerce business.
Last updated Jul 8, 2026
Who we write for
We write for operators and founders at e-commerce businesses choosing shipping software, OMS, WMS, inventory systems, review platforms, email marketing tools, and multi-channel listing tools. Our readers process 100 to 50,000 orders per month across Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and Etsy.
The site assumes you have paying customers, real revenue, and a real cost of picking the wrong tool. It is not written for enterprise procurement or for hobbyists shipping their first 10 units.
What we cover
Software categories that directly affect how orders get shipped, inventory gets counted, and products get listed. That includes shipping software (ShipStation, Shippo, ShipBob, Sendcloud, Easyship, Veeqo), multi-channel listing tools (Sellbrite, Linnworks, ChannelAdvisor), inventory management systems (Katana, Finale Inventory), review and loyalty platforms (Yotpo, Stamped), email marketing (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, AWeber, Constant Contact), print-on-demand (Printful), and custom packaging (Arka).
We skip categories that don't fit our reader:
- Consumer marketing tools with weak buyer intent for e-commerce ops (social scheduling, influencer platforms, general CRM)
- Enterprise-only software with $50K+ minimums where buyer decisions are RFP-driven, not review-driven
- Products with no meaningful differentiation across the market
If a category is missing, it usually means we haven't published anything worth reading in it yet.
How we evaluate
Every review and comparison uses the same evaluation frame, documented in our methodology:
- Pricing at multiple contact or order tiers, not just the entry price
- Integration depth with the platforms our readers use (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay, Walmart)
- Feature parity across specific dimensions per category, not vague "ease of use" ratings
- Support tier availability
- Affiliate program terms, disclosed openly
We score tools 1 to 10. Nothing scores above 9.5. Nothing goes below 6.5 unless the tool is materially broken or shipped a serious quality regression. If three tools in a category all score between 8.7 and 9.1, that is deliberate. The category has trade-offs, not tiers, and we do not invent gaps that aren't there.
How the site is funded
Commercelogica is affiliate-supported. When you click a "Visit" link on a review or comparison and sign up or purchase, we may earn a commission from the vendor. This is disclosed on every page and detailed in our affiliate disclosure.
What affiliate revenue does not do here:
- Change a score, ranking, or verdict. Klaviyo pays us more per conversion than Mailchimp, and Klaviyo still gets a lower score on dimensions where Mailchimp is genuinely better.
- Buy a product a spot in a "best of" list. We list what we would recommend to an operator asking the same question.
If a vendor's affiliate program is broken, not available in your region, or still pending our review, we say so on the relevant page.
Corrections and updates
Software changes fast. Pricing changes, features get cut, vendors get acquired. Every published page carries an "Updated" date and, where the change was structural, a change log. When we correct a factual error, we update the page and record the fix in the change log. We do not silently rewrite past claims.
If you spot something wrong, out of date, or vendor-flavored, email us at hello@commercelogica.com. Real problems get fixed within a week.
Independence
We do not accept sponsored posts, guest posts, or vendor-written content. Every published word was written by our editorial team based on vendor pricing pages, integration documentation, official help centers, third-party customer reports, and Free tier evaluations where the product allows it.
We do not sell placement in "best of" lists, feature slots, or ranking positions. If you are a vendor and want to be added, the answer is either "we're already evaluating it" or "we'll consider it when readers ask for it." Sponsorship does not change that answer.
