Our verdict
Sendcloud for EU sellers
Sendcloud connects 160+ carriers on paid plans (70+ on free), offers tracking notifications in up to 8 languages on Growth, and handles customs documentation for cross-border EU shipments. ShipStation is a better fit if you split volume between the US and EU. Shippo suits low-volume EU sellers who want to avoid a monthly platform fee.
Sendcloud: best for pure EU operations
Sendcloud was built for European e-commerce. The carrier list includes PostNL, DPD, DHL, GLS, Colissimo, and 160+ other carriers on paid plans (70+ on the free plan). Tracking notifications support 2 languages on Lite and 8 languages on Growth. A returns portal is included. Sendcloud has a free plan; Lite starts at €33/month (€26/month on annual billing) plus per-label fees.
If most of your shipments stay within the EU, Sendcloud has the most carriers and the only tracking pages that actually render in the buyer's language.
ShipStation: best for US + EU hybrid sellers
ShipStation offers European carrier support through its UK and EU editions, but the core carrier network leans US-heavy. For sellers splitting volume between US and EU destinations, it keeps everything in one platform. That is its main advantage.
For pure EU operations, Sendcloud has more European carriers and better localization out of the box.
Shippo: budget option for low-volume EU shipping
Shippo's Starter plan charges no monthly fee but caps at 30 labels per month. For a European store shipping under 30 packages per month, that avoids the €33/month Lite minimum you would pay with Sendcloud's first paid tier. Above 30 labels/month, Shippo Pro starts at $19/month ($17 on annual billing).
The trade-off is narrower EU coverage. Shippo supports major international carriers but lacks many regional EU options. There are no localized tracking pages either.
